FCI Introduces Highly Reliable Micro USB for Multimedia Devices

FCI’s Micro USB is ideal for applications with space constraints.  Approximately 60% smaller than the average mini-USB connector, the Micro USB provides high reliability while requiring little space, providing engineers a solution for the sleek, small designs of tomorrow.

The Micro USB Connector is RoHS-compatible and ensures direct data transmission among mobile devices without host and complies to USB 1.1 and 2.0 standards.  Highly durable, the Micro USB has a passive latch mechanism preventing unintentional cable release and has a life span of 10,000 cycles.  The connector’s receptacles and plugs are available in a wide variety of mounting and termination configurations enabling it to be used in a wide array of devices.
