June 19, 2010 - PRLog -- June 18, 2010 – San Diego, Ca – San Diego Boca FC (3-1-2) look to take the second, and final, regular season competition against Southern Oregon Fuego (0-0-8) at Southern Medford High in Medford, Oregon this Saturday, June 19 with kickoff set for 7:00 pm.

San Diego Boca FC look to be in a favorable position to do so, with the addition of veteran striker Dan Antoniuk only strengthening their roster. In the first matchup between the two sides, Boca FC dominated play for most of the game to capture a comfortable 3-1 home victory against their division rivals.

Boca FC Head Coach Papo Santos commented, “This upcoming match will be very important to win. We have greatly improved our attack as a team over the season, and the addition of Dan Antoniuk will enable us to continue to develop our play with a more aggressive fashion. This Oregon team has shown that they give up goals, but they have also proven that they can score goals in bunches, so we expect a competitive game from a team hungry for its first win.”

Antoniuk will aim to leave his mark on the match, and make a favorable impression on his new teammates. His scoring prowess should help improve a Boca FC attack that has consistently had struggles in finishing scoring chances and put away opponents. The fact that they are facing a Southern Oregon Fuego defense that has conceded goals at an astounding 5 goals per game average shapes up to be a considerable opportunity for Antoniuk and the entire San Diego Boca FC attack.

San Diego Boca FC currently sits in fourth place in the Western Division, mostly because they have played the fewest number of matches. Their 10 points trail first place Sacramento Gold (5-1-1) by a mere 6 points, and they will have a chance to face them, and second place Real San Jose (5-1-2) before the season ends. It will be important to capture three points on Boca FC’s upcoming match as the NPSL playoff picture starts to take shape.
