Flow Science Wins Two Business Awards

June 18, 2010 - PRLog -- Flow Science has recently been awarded two awards for excellence: the Employer of the Year, awarded by the Santa Fe Professional Business Women and the Business Excellence Award by the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce.

The Santa Fe Professional Business Women organization (SFPBW) honored local businesses for their implementation of family friendly policies and programs. SFPBW annually pays tribute to employers who meet criteria such as family-friendly employee policies, financial assistance for training or education courses, health care or financial assistance for health care, flexible work arrangements, and female employees who hold mid and upper-level management positions.

According to Kathy L. Jahner the event’s chair, “Many companies are changing policies to reflect the demographic shift of women spending more time in the paid labor force and men wanting to spend more time with their families.  Many quality work policies are being implemented with positive results for businesses and employees.”  She added, the employers honored this year reflected “strong investments” in work/life policies and programs.  

The Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce presented Flow Science with the Business Excellence Award in the over 25 employees category as part of their annual 2010 Santa Fe Business Awards.  The Santa Fe New Mexican reported on the winners that, “The businesses serve as examples to the rest of the community and set the bar for business practices in Santa Fe.”
