June 18, 2010 - PRLog -- Jerr-Dan has recently introduced the 70/85 rotator heavy duty.  It has a tip load rating of 18,400 lbs which is by far greater than the leading competitor.  The tow truck has extreme stability with the widest double scissors-style outrigger spread of the industry which is 112” by 264”.  The unique scissors- style stabilizer design that keeps loads closer to the ground and body when lifting over the outrigger’s extended beams is an excellent innovation that all tow truck dealers are excited about.  The outriggers have integral spades that are designed to provide 26” penetration for utmost stability on many areas with uneven terrain.  This wreckers has a working radius of nearly 42’ which is a fully 8’ more than the leading competitor.

The Tandem Axle GVWR is 86,000 lbs, wit ha 240” cab to tandem/ cab to Drive Tandem (clear): 240”.  The Frame RBM for each rail is 4,200,000 in – lbs.  The wreckers Front GAWR is 20,000 lbs while the tow trucks rear GAWR is 46,000 lbs.  The maximum unloaded frame height of this heavy duty is 42”.
