June 17, 2010 - PRLog -- Copenhagen, Denmark … June 15, 2010… If you have not yet booked your hotel for your family vacation, you should know that Momondo.com is more than a premiere flight search aggregator.  Momondo (http://www.momondo.com) also offers one of the widest hotel searches on the Internet! Additionally, its user-generated and user-friendly City Guides (http://www.momondo.com/City_Guides.aspx) offer great insider tips on these accommodations, as well on sightseeing, shopping, eating, and jet-setting to places around the world.

Hotel Searches

Momondo.com is a great source for finding the best hotel deals, because Momondo offers “true price transparency before you actually purchase your hotel room, and all search engine results are compiled into one search in one screen; so you don’t have to check multiple windows,” says Martin Lumbye, Momondo.com Partner.

Momondo’s filtering features make your hotel search even more user-friendly. Once you start the accommodations’ search -- by entering your city, the check-in and check-out dates, and clicking “SEARCH,” criteria selections appear on the left-hand column below.
You can choose:
*Hotel Type: Hotel, Hostel, Apartment, Residence, Other
*Star Rating: You can select one or more star rating categories from 1 to 5.
*Room Type: Studio, Standard, Superior, Suite, Apartment, Unknown
*Bed Type: Single, Double, Twin, Twin Double, Triple, Quadruple, Unspecified
*Meal Type: No meal, Breakfast Included, Other

This feature allows you to select both the number of adults and children when you do the hotel search on Momondo.

Hotel Results

You can see the hotels appearing on a city map and receive your results by:
*Price
*Distance to the City Center
*Distance to the Airport
*Hotel Name (alphabetically)

Results appear in “real time.” Therefore, as your search is being made, and the colorful wheel spins at the top, a thumb-nail sized wheel below the map, to the left (above the hotel type criteria), explains the results as they are coming in:
*How many hotels are being searched
*What percentage of the search remains
*Which hotel sites are being searched at that moment.
*Stop: If you feel you have enough hotels, you can stop the search at any time.

Comparison results will appear from the different search-engines scanned, with the lowest price in green and higher prices in orange. The results will also often indicate the applicable room type. You can then click on the link and log into that result on the offer’s site for further details and actual booking.

Some location recommendations appear as themed articles. Examples include comments and descriptions of:
