"Jermell was always the loud one, I was more reserved and calculated but we where the best of friends during those times" exclaims Damien. Fast forward more than a decade later after a mutual friend notified Damien that Jermell was in LA pursuing a directing career, ironic enough Damien himself had become a proven script writer and had written over 10 playwrights and scripts. After a few catch up phone calls and emails, Damien sent Jermell the "LIL HAITI" script and the rest you can say is history. Jermell immediately seeing the marketing potential for the play left LA and moved back to Miami and this Memorial Day when all of the "experts" told the duo that "nobody goes to plays on Memorial weekend", well foolish pride convinced them both to continue with their plans, subsequently the stage play had standing room only and sold out the 700 plus seating Miramar Cultural Arts Theater. But more importantly the excellent reviews have been pouring in, so much they where forced to schedule an encore performance, Saturday June 26th at the Julius Littman Performing Arts theater located at 17011 NE 19 Ave. The show starts at 8:00pm doors open at 7:00pm for a networking lounge. Patrons are encouraged to bring their business cards. Tickets are $20 in advance. "Its crazy I still remember it like yesterday I sent Jermell the script and he said I will read a few pages, he called me back in 45 minutes and said he read the full 109 page script and that we are doing this in Miami next year, well I guess he was right" states Damien.
