Dubai Summer Surprises 2010 (Official Event), 7 Days (Official Newspaper), Insider (Official Magazine), Dubai 92 (Official Radio Station) From Popular Productions the producers of Dubai’s biggest hit shows including ‘Blood Brothers’, ‘Annie’, and ‘Disney High School Musical 1 & 2’ come the Middle East premiere of the fantastic West End Musical ‘Fame’ which will be an OFFICIAL EVENT OF DUBAI SUMMER SURPRISES 2010 This highly successful stage version of the Oscar nominated box office smash hit 80’s movie and Emmy winning TV series played to millions of people for over ten years in London’s West End. It was nominated for two Olivier awards and has been seen in over 50 countries worldwide. Last year, the smash hit remake movie brought Fame to a whole new audience. Fame the Musical follows the students at New York's School of the Performing Arts through their tough, four-year course. We see them coming to terms with life and relationships: Fame is about real people, desperate to be the best whilst life gets in the way. Including the hit songs 'Fame’, ‘Dancing on the Sidewalk’, ‘Bring on Tomorrow’, ‘In L.A’ and many more, it is a fantastic chance for audiences to experience the stage version of this gutsy, energetic and exciting show. Dance fuses with action. Pumping rock and pop rhythms fuse with beautiful love ballads. Ballet, drama and music all come together in a myriad of colourful images in an explosion of youthful energy. Fame is the original ‘Got Talent’ show! The show features a cast of some of the West End’s best performers, who have performed in such international hit west end shows as Disney’s Beauty And The Beast, Blood Brothers, Jerry Springer the Opera and Sweet Charity alongside Dubai’s hottest upcoming talent. Pulsating choreography, stunning sets, costumes and lighting all under the highly popular, state of the art First Group Theatre, ensure that Fame the Musical is the real deal. Lucy Blakeman, co-producer of Fame said: “Fame is one of the most successful musicals of all time, and we are thrilled to be giving the UAE its Middle East premiere as an official event of the Dubai Summer Surprises 2010. Those who have seen our recent shows like Blood Brothers, Annie, High School Musical and more know we work hard to present excellent live entertainment for our audiences. We’ve been proving ‘Dubai’s Got Talent’ successfully for three years now and we have a brilliant cast for Fame whose energy has to be seen to be believed. Our production reunites together the great creative team that brought you last year’s High School Musical 2 and we are excited to be featuring a number of brilliant West End actors alongside our equally talented Dubai cast. We are also pleased to be offering tickets to the show at amazing prices. The first night is just 75AED per ticket and all other performances at 130AED per ticket which we feel is excellent value for money for audiences, given the scale and quality of the show. We can’t wait for Dubai to experience Fame; it really is the best night out for all the family” Please see the official show website at www.fameonstage.co.uk for further information.
