| Heald's Entrepreneurship Program Supports Need For Small Business GrowthAnyone who ever wondered how to start a business may benefit from the new student Entrepreneurship program at Heald College.
By: Eric Rajasalu "The attraction of this Entrepreneurship program is that nearly anyone interested in starting a business can learn the fundamentals to succeed," says President and Chief Executive Officer Nolan Miura of Heald College. "If you pair Heald’s entrepreneurship degree with resourceful thinking and a clear vision, you have the tools to live the 'American Dream' of owning a small business." In addition to the Business Administration courses, students will also take courses in the Entrepreneurship program, including marketing and sales, finance for entrepreneurs, and the analysis and evaluation of real business cases by successful and not-so-successful entrepreneurs. Additionally, students will learn how to prepare a comprehensive business plan for starting their own business. The sample business plan will be assigned during the beginning of the program and will be expanded throughout the program into the final project, where students will present the plan to a group of local entrepreneurs. Graduates of the program will be qualified to handle a diverse array of responsibilities in an established business as an office manager, management trainee, work in a franchise as a supervisor or manager, or learn how to start a business.
