Pittsburgh lemons to lemonade gal auditions for The Oprah Winfrey Network.
Nancy Stampahar, the author of award-winning inspirational, personal growth book Peace, Love and Lemonade: A Recipe to Make Your Life Sweeter, is pursuing her dream - a chance to work with Oprah.
As written by Beth Gebhard on My Central Jersey.com, “Your OWN Show: Oprah’s Search For The Next TV Star” will debut in January, 2011, on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. The original series will feature a “host boot camp” as contestants compete in various challenges relevant to hosting and developing a television show. Challenges will range from booking interviews and researching story ideas, to successfully completing an actual screen test. At the end of the series, the person selected to be the winner will receive a commitment for his or her own show, executive produced by Mark Burnett, and scheduled to premiere on OWN in 2011.”
Stampahar has entered the Health and Well-Being Category. In her live audition, she suggested her show answers three questions: “What would you do if you weren’t awbjp afraid?”, “What keeps you stuck?” and “How do you make lemonade when life hands you lemons?”.
Not only does Stampahar have the professional expertise on the subject matter, she is a real-life example of how to answer each question with success. In her book, she offers a clever recipe with hands-on techniques and reveals personal stories of how life threw her lemons from an early age.
