June 11, 2010 - PRLog -- In celebration of the upcoming opening of the new Martin Luther King Jr. Senior Center,
scheduled for winter 2010, the center will be creating a Living History Quilt.

We invite senior participants age 60 and up, to come to the center and help with
the construction of a quilt that will adorn the walls of our new center and be unveiled
during our grand opening celebration.

This is a collabroative community endeavaor, open to new ideas and welcoming all levels of experience and technique.

The Center is currently located at 120 Atlantic Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601.

The Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior Center, Inc. has been a focal point for activities for low-income and other elderly of Bergen County, NJ a population considered to be one of the fastest growing and having the greatest social, health, recreational and economic need.

In addition since 1994, the Center has operated a community based afterschool Intergenerational Program for 4th and 5th grade students from Hackensack elementary schools that meets 3 times per week, helping to reduce the incidence of high school dropouts, delinquency and children at risk in Hackensack
