Propeller Mobile’s iPhone app enhances conference standards

June 11, 2010 - PRLog -- London, 11th June 2010: Propeller Mobile’s iPhone conference app developed for Congrex, the leading international events company, proved a success at the EAACI annual congress in London earlier this week. Congrex offered this free service to EAACI delegates which was downloaded over 400 times to attendees iPhones and iPads, as part of its offering to enhance the overall conference experience.

European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) was the first Congrex client to experience this new addition to its conference portfolio - used a total of 3646 times the app proved an invaluable tool in guiding delegates through the event. The app is still available to download on Apple’s app store for the event, which was held in London 5-9 June.

The app acts as a networking and navigating tool, helping delegates make the most of the event, but also providing organisers like Congrex with insightful data to help shape future events.

Once downloaded, delegates can navigate their way through the conference using an interactive map, view event details and times, receive reminders of key events, and interact with speakers by sending instant messages - the application functions as a pop-up business social network for niche audiences to communicate with each other. Users can also create their own digital profiles on the app, promoting themselves to other delegates and vendors. Other useful benefits include hotel and travel information – offering delegates a seamless conference experience.
Propeller Mobile were keenly aware of the issues facing the events industry such as the need to extract more ROI from face to face meetings. Also the increasing pressure on the industry to make their occasions as carbon neutral as possible, while at the same time providing new revenue streams in an increasingly strained environment.  Propeller Mobile set about utilising the current smartphone and tablet pc technologies to address these pertinent issues.
