Follow on Google News | Joanne Ellis kicks off Australia months for Night PublishingNight Publishing to publish a series of challenging new Australian authors over the next few months addressing the Lord Lucan mystery, child abuse, serial killers, the civil service and stalkers.
By: Night Publishing As coincidence would have it, Night Publishing is due to publish five books by Australian writers over the next few months. The first will be ‘Knifing the Famous!’ by Carolyn Allen which is an intimate portrait of the author’s relationship with her father, top plastic surgeon John Watson, who is known to have operated on Lord Lucan at least once. The question is whether he operated on him a second time immediately prior to Lucan’s complete disappearance after the murder of his children’s nanny Sandra Rivett. This will be swiftly followed by the publication of Australian George Fripley’s ‘You Can’t Polish a Turd’ which is an acerbic and humorous guide for those who wish to survive working in the civil service while retaining a certain degree of nonchalance, or even sanity. The fourth book to be published is Stacey Danson’s horrific, graphic and incredibly courageous account of how she was abused by a paedophile ring, including her ‘family’ doctor, from the age of three or four and prostituted from the age of five. Her powerful understated matter-of-fact delivery of this only-too-true tale has drawn accolades from many fellow writers around the world. The fifth Australian book is L.A. Dale’s ‘Perhaps ….. Perhaps’ which might appear to offer some light chick-lit relief after some of the other heavy hitters, except that it has a twist - a twisted stalker in fact - so it is not typically chick-lit fare after all. # # # Night Reading / Publishing is a revolutionary social network site which remains committed to publishing 5 books a month from around the world with bite and style regardless of commercial opportunity. It is open to all aspiring writers who are invited to post a first chapter (or selection of poems) on the site. End
