June 10, 2010 - PRLog -- According to FamousWhy, the font is highly suitable for celebrity fans and designers in writing articles and designing graphics of celebrities.

In an effort to bridge the gap between celebrities and their fans and to keep up this spirit, FamousWhy has distributed Celeb Faces font under a Freeware license so that others can use it at zero cost.

The font is Unicode complaint and so it can be used in major social networking websites like Facebook, Orkut, Hi5 and others. It can also be used for posting in blogs. Alternatively, Celeb Faces can be used to design logos, banners, wallpapers and screensavers related to celebrities. It is supported in major browsers and operating systems, and this implies that Celeb Faces can be used by users across a wide range of platforms -- in Windows, Mac and GNU/Linux.

Being a TrueType font, it will provide accurate prints on any TrueType capable printer. The character mapping has been done to match the initials of celebrities, that is, all characters correspond to the letter with which the name of a celebrity begins. For example, the character of ā€œAā€ prints a symbol of the face of actress Angelina Jolie, while the character ā€œDā€ prints the face of footballer David Beckham.

More than 24 different celebrities are included in Celeb Faces across various fields such as, actors, actresses, musicians, reality show stars and politicians. There are contemporary celebrities as well as celebrities from the past century, like Elvis Presley. Alphabetically, the celebrities who are included in the font are:  Angelina Jolie, Barack Obama, Clint Eastwood, David Beckham, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, George Clooney, Halle Berry, Ice Cube, Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Nicolas Cage, Oprah Winfrey, Paris Hilton, Quentin Tarantino, Robert Pattinson, Shakira, Tom Cruise, Usher, Vanessa Hudgens, Will Smith, X-Zibit and Zac Efron.

FamousWhy has targeted to make this font as clean and user-friendly as possible. Since each letter corresponds to a celebrity, it will never be a tough task to remember the font layout and users can easily input the faces of the celebrities they wish to type.

Installation and uninstallation of the font is also pretty simple and any average user should be able to install it. The fact that no expert knowledge is required to operate the font makes it more attractive and useful for celebrity fans. In Windows operating systems, the TrueType file included in the downloaded package needs to be copied to the Fonts directory, which can be accessed from the Control Panel. It can also be easily installed in Mac operating systems. Font management software can also be used to install and uninstall Celeb Faces.

Celeb Faces is available freely for personal and commercial purposes. Complete license agreement is included with the downloaded ZIP archive file. The font can be used legally as long as the license agreement is intact and the instructions in it are followed.
