Auto Sales Data Points to Economic Rebound

June 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Key Hyundai, CT's Hyundai dealer with locations in Manchester and Milford announced today that the economy has begun to rebound.  After two years of struggling automotive sales, Key Hyundai has seen traffic into the stores rebound and a huge increase in Hyundai and used car sales. Key Hyundai announced today that quarterly sales increased 50% versus the prior year.  This increase is sales definitely points to an improvement in consumer confidence.  

"The past couple of years have been a real struggle on the Hartford, New Haven and Bridgeport communties.  We are finally seeing some stabilization in the economy and a lot of pent up demand for new cars," says Jill Merriam, owner of Key Hyundai.  Ms. Merriam went on to add that this increase in sales has lead to an temporary inventory problem.  "Our inventory hasn't been this low in years and we are looking to immediately increase both our new Hyundai and used car inventory, " she said.  

Although Merriam is pretty certain the problem will resolve itself in a month or so, she's not willing to sit out the month of June.  Therefore, she created an innovative program called the "Business is Booming Trade Payoff Event.” Key Hyundai's goal is to take 56 cars in trade in June.  This event will payoff your current lease or loan and you can drive a newer car off the lot.  "I know some people may owe more on their trade in than it's worth but that's no big deal, we can step up on your trade and you can throw in a little cash to get out of the car," Merriam said.  And, to incentivize customers that have paid off their trade, Key Hyundai is offering them a $1,000 voucher towards the purchase of a nicer newer car.  In fact, Key Hyundai will pay cash for your car even if you don't buy one from them.  

When asked how long this amazing program will last, Ms. Merriam said, "We are looking to take 56 cars in trade.  Once we've reached that number, we'll put an end to it because that's what we need to restock our inventory."
