Company Being Targeted For Being The Whistle Blower

June 8, 2010 - PRLog -- India, June, 08, 2010 - A little known, but steadily growing IT Company based out of Kolkata, India has recently been the target of dishonor and humiliation by part-time freelancers, for blowing the whistle and taking a stand against freelancing being done by full time employees of other IT companies.

E-Intellisense has been the target of an attack on popular social networks like Face Book, Buzz and Twitter.

E-Intellisense says that it had hired some freelancers to work on the projects of its clients, from across the globe, under the impression that these were full time freelancers and by giving away work to these guys, it was doing service to the economy, by distributing wealth to those who have been left out of Indias growth story.

"Couple of years ago, if you didn’t know English or didn’t have a strong educational background, you would not have been able to cash in on the boom of the IT sector in India. With our commitment to serving the society, we had gone ahead and recruited candidates from the suburbs of Kolkata, trained them and then provided work to these guys." says Rahul Rungta, Chief Advisor and consultant to the company.

However, after a recent background check, they came to that some of the guys had joined other IT companies on full time basis, which didn’t allow it's full time employees to freelance for other IT companies. "We at once got in touch with these companies to sort a clarification" Rungta continued.

This lead to a scintillating attack by some of those freelancers who even posted a bounced cheque by the company on Face Book and the company being called a "Fraud".

"We have initiated a case of Forgery, Theft, Attempt to Cheat on a Company / Person and Difermation under the respective sections of the IPC and legal notices have been served to those involved." says Deboshri Das, legal advisor to the company. "We hope to deal with this nuisance, through the correct and rightful path of Law".

Freelancing by full time employees is a major problem facing the IT companies in India, as it leads of conflict of interest and often the company resources being put to un-authorized use, against the companies themselves. As per a recent study conducted by the consultancy firm PWC, India losses to the tune of $20m in Forex and tax revenues. "Most of these guys are highly un-professional, but put themselves out as organized IT companies in front of the un-suspecting foreign clients. However, most of the times, the projects are un-successful and leads to negative impression about Indian IT Sector. To add to this, these earnings go un-reported, hence resulting in a revenue loss to the state" Says Vikash Agarwal, a consultant working with PWC.
