June 8, 2010 - PRLog -- Some people tend to show off their new and latest cell phones. It’s not a surprise to see someone talking over the phone loudly even in the corridors or in public areas. This is not the right way to speak over the phone especially in public areas.

Xaviera Arata Editor of the  Unlocked Cell Phones  website -- http://www.UnlockedCellPhonesUsa.com -- pointed out;

“…You should always be conscious of the people around you and try to speak softly. Never discuss any personal subjects when there are people around you…” Added Xaviera Arata

Suppose someone calls you and you’re in the middle of a group. Before answering the phone, you should excuse yourself and talk to the person on the other end outside the room; you need to go far from the group so that they will not hear what you’re talking about. If you’re with someone, it would be best not to use any cell phones at all. If you can’t avoid a phone call, apologize to the other person and answer the call briefly. Don’t let the other person wait too long as you answer a call.

When you’re on the office or in any other public areas, it is unethical to keep glancing on the phone every now and then just to check if there are any calls or text messages. Oftentimes, people exhibit public rudeness and this is a very common practice these days. If someone calls you and there are interruptions or static, say sorry and tell him or her that you’ll call back soon. This is very important especially when you’re having a very important conversation. Don’t forget to call back if you promised to.

When you say etiquette, it’s all about considering other people. You have to observe some rules in some establishments like banks and movie theaters. When a sign says turn off cell phones, follow it.

Most cell phones these days have cameras. This is another feature of cell phones which requires proper etiquette. Never use your cell phones to take photos of other people unknowingly. You’re not paparazzi, right?

“…If you try to think about these cell phone etiquettes, you will realize that a lot of cell phone users are unethical and perhaps you’re among them. Use cell phones the right way because it reflects your personality…” Added Xaviera Arata
