Next Generation Folk Singer/songwriter Dan Coyle To Perform Free Show In Brooklyn

TO PERFORM FREE SHOW IN BROOKLYN

Indie acoustic guitar-wielding member of the next generation of folk singer/songwriters will perform selections from his current and upcoming releases in Brooklyn at Vox Pop Cafe June 12th at 11 p.m.

Dan Coyle, indie acoustic guitar-wielding member of the next generation of folk singer/songwriters, will perform a live show at Vox Pop Cafe (http://voxpopnet.net) in Brooklyn June 12th at 11p.m. Coyle is excited to share his unique folk style with the people of New York City, playing selections from his current release, “Random Thoughts and Incomplete Sentences,” as well as his new CD to be released later this summer.

Coyle’s music has been described as “…refreshingly original yet uniquely familiar. Not copyright infringement familiar – more like comfy couch familiar.  Dan Coyle delivers a clean melodic sound reminiscent of Simon and Garfunkel but with a decidedly contemporary feel.”  Coyle mixes shades of some of folk music’s legendary songwriters (Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, and Cat Stevens) with the edgier feel of today's singer-songwriters (Ani DiFranco and Jason Mraz), all while creating his own truly original sound. Coyle aims to reach his listeners through thoughtful lyrics and skilled guitar playing.  

Coyle is already looking forward to returning to New York City again this summer on his national “The Strange Death of Jim Morrison Tour.” The tour will span more than 50 venues in most major metropolitan areas throughout the U.S. over a four-month period.
