June 7, 2010 - PRLog -- NEWTOWN, C.T. – Sandy Hook day care center gaps need to be filled. Danielle Van Riper is stepping in with a brand new day care center in Newtown, C.T., opening Monday, June 14, to fill that need. The new center is called The Learning Experience and it’s a great resource for Sandy Hook day care seekers.
Ms. Van Riper is the owner and operator of The Learning Experience serving Sandy Hook day care to parents and guardians looking for a safe, interactive environment for their children. Ms. Van Riper brings a broad educational background to the center including a master’s degree in special education from Bankstreet College, teaching certificates in both New York and Connecticut, and more than a decade experience as an educator.
“Early childhood education is very important to me and it’s paramount to building a strong foundation for later educational growth,” Ms. Van Riper said. “We are dedicated to fostering a safe, secure and challenging environment for children in which each child’s unique abilities and talents will be recognized and rewarded.”
The Learning Experience is fully licensed and will be open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., serving children ages six weeks to five years old. It’s conveniently located at 274 South Main Street, Building A, in the Plaza South Shopping Center in Newtown.
The center providing Sandy Hook day care has many delights for parents and children including a low caregiver-to-child-ratio, state-of-the-art technology when it comes to safety and security including monitoring of classrooms and playground area, and many programs for children to enjoy.
Some examples of what children will find at The Learning Experience include the Fun with Phonics and L.E.A.P (Learning Experience Academic Program). Main Street, USA, is a wonderland of imagination and its Make Believe Boulevard is a place where children interact with each other in storefronts and play dress up in different costumes. It’s not just about what goes inside the center, but also about the surrounding community.
“The community is always welcome here and we’re holding our first event to honor the community in July,” Ms. Van Riper said. On Saturday, July 10, The Learning Experience is celebrating its grand opening by honoring the men and women in uniform. A police cruiser and fire engine will be onsite for children to explore, and BBQ, refreshments and other activities will be available free of charge. If parents in uniform register their child or children in July, they’ll be given a tuition discount.
Children experience incredible growth and change constantly, and The Learning Experience is committed to enhancing children’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical development on a daily basis.
