June 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Mediterranean cruises have been popular for many years and for a good reason.
Ports along the Mediterranean ooze old world charm from times of Homer, Marc Anthony and Machiavelli. And with so many itineraries and places to see the hardest part is only picking one cruise.
Europe is perfectly suited for travel. It's small geographical size and long history has created a vast array of diverse sites that are close to one another. Nowhere is this more true than on the Mediterranean.
A common way to do Europe is backpacking but this forces you to unpack, find a new hotel, buy train tickets and research sites on a daily bases. A cruise absolves you all of those responsibilities and allows you to enjoy your vacation and destinations.
Mediterranean cruises can be divided in two categories: Those that focus on the eastern part of the sea and those that focus on the west. Of course, some cover both, but those sail for many weeks. Both regions have plenty to boast about  so it just comes down to where you want to be.
Best place to get you organized and informed about your choices is Zagreb and from there you can rent a car to Adriatic coast that is only 100 miles away from the city.
