DJ Parker Announces New Sound Recording Studio Model

June 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Parker spent 5 years with Carolina Blew Records, the music entertainment and advertising company that focused on independent music sales, radio advertising, and artist/producer management. Parker's new venture will be centered on a new sound recording studio model.

“There is a new opportunity within the sound recording studio industry,” Parker says. Studios that only serve major label artists are struggling and many have closed. But that's because their only customer, the major labels, have drastically cut recording budgets. But there are many other customers seeking services that traditional studios ignore.

Parker says his new business model will make sound recording affordable. Parker also adds that many studio owners are only engineers, with mom & pop operations.  Many studio owners have failed to adjust their business model and many don't want to.  They don't want to make services available at a discount to the local rappers or the punk rock bands or church choirs.  These famous studios are mom & pop in nature, and are not run like Fortune 500 companies.

Parker’s music industry knowledge is unique from most major label executives and studio owners.  "Before Carolina Blew Records, I was a rapper.  And before that I was the Founder and Executive Producer of Second Coming Records, my first record label.   So I've been a rapper, jingle writer, executive producer, artist/producer manager, advertising project manager, and label owner.  I know who needs and wants sound recording services. I know my industry.”
