June 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Our review of the Saint Gaudens Double Eagle Gold Coins website shows that this site is truely catering to finding historic St. Gaudens high-relief $20 double eagle gold coins that would add value to your coin collection.

History tells us that in the early 1900’s President Theodore Roosevelt called for a “renaissance” in American coinage. In 1905, President Roosevelt was touring the Smithsonian Institute and seen some ancient Greek coins and realized that the American coins were very "bland." Roosevelt new that The United States of America was a bold experiment in liberty and representative of democracy and wanted its coins to reflect that.

The 1907 St. Gaudens high-relief $20 gold piece is one of the most sought-after coin pieces because only 12,367 of these coins were minted. Of course, no one can guarantee that these coins or any other gold coins will increase in value. However, I strongly believe you should own at least one or two. If not for yourself, put some away for your children or grandchildren as a form of “hard times” insurance. Visit http://www.stgaudenseaglecoins.com/ for more information on these amazing rare gold coins.

There were four variations of the 1907 Double Eagle Gold coin. The first two attempts were considered ultra high relief (also referred to as extremely high relief), a 34-mm version and a 27-mm version, both with Roman numerals. The coining process for the 34-mm version was too arduous, and the United States Mint would later find out it had no authority to mint the 27-mm version. Its third attempt reduced the relief, and was struck in 34-mm version with Roman numerals. Because its relief was reduced, it did not require as much metal flow to fill the design, and was more suitable for mass production and approximately 12,367 were made. Finally, in December 1907, a fourth variation was produced, an even lower relief 34-mm version, with Arabic numerals.

Gold collectors all over the world look for great buys on St. Gaudens Double Gold Eagle Coins. If you are looking to add these historic coins to your collection. You will not be disappointed.

The Saint Gaudens Double Gold Eagle Coins site is specifically designed to help the coin collector or investor to find good deals on coinage.  Visit http://www.stgaudenseaglecoins.com for more details.
