Church-goers Now Can Telecomute To Churches Open 24/7
Now going to church is no longer a brick and mortar decision. An on-line religious portal brings local churches worldwide home to virtual congregations.
TheWordChoice.com offers many features for a church and its congregation that many other religion-centered portals lack. Using TheWordChoice.com, users will have 24/7 access 365 days per year to messages preached by pastors from across the country and the world. Video of these messages can be streamed online and even downloaded to a personal computer to enjoy later. While watching the video, users can follow along with the online bible in both the King James® version and New International Version®.
There is a prayer link that users can choose if they want prayer through virtual prayer chains. Other users can view prayer requests and band together to pray collectively over concerns brought to the portal. We tried to make it so simple for people with limited resources and we’re not finished yet. There is so much more to come. This is just phase 1.”
Users simply register in a few quick and easy steps and they have access to a world of Word and an ever-growing list of church partners. “The fantastic thing about this is that it’s 24 hour access to The Word,” says Onyx. “What we’ve done here is created an additional means of exposure for churches and ministries throughout the world.” For example, using TheWordChoice.com, a church on a small budget has the opportunity to build its income stream while simultaneously reaching congregants at further distances. The benefit of new forms of large, aggregate revenue streams at very low costs for partner ministries is necessary for keeping smaller churches afloat. TheWordChoice.com’
And better yet—users can stream videos absolutely free. There is absolutely no charge to view a church’s service online. “I didn’t want to create a site where people had to pay for The Word,” says Onyx. “I believe that Christ paid all that needed to be paid and The Word should be accessible to all, without restrictions.”
However, in the virtual world, streaming is different from downloading. If the user really enjoys a message and wants to download the video to their personal computer, they pay a small fee which is paid to the church ministry that sponsored the video. “I admire ministries that can do things with limited cost to the people,” praised Onyx who focused on keeping processing fees low when designing TheWordChoice.com. “Like any other business, a ministry’s bills have to be paid and pay-per-download streams of revenue are a realistic way of defraying some of the ministry’s business expenses.”
Gospel recording artists benefit, as well. Gospel artists receive well-deserved exposure through TheWordChoice.com portal. “Giving back is very important to me. The vision for this endeavor is bigger than me and the internet. It encompasses so many smaller pieces behind the scenes that collectively and effectively complete the overall mission – heal, set free, deliver. This is what Christ did. Even today, that mission continues at TheWordChoice.com.”
