Highland Heights, OH: Pups on the east side of C-town will be barking it up at Camp Bow Wow Highland Height’s Grand Opening Event on Saturday, June 5, from 10am to 2pm. All perky pups, lively hounds, darling dogs and their human families are invited to attend the party at the Premier Doggy Day and Overnight Camp at 31 Alpha Park from 10am to 2pm. A tail-wagging good time is guaranteed for all. Admission is free.

Amy Ryan is celebrating the grand opening of her state-of-the-art, 8,100 square-foot digs for dogs with gruffsto. “At Camp Bow Wow we’re dedicated to the health and happiness of all of our dogs,” said Ryan. “So we’ve planned activities and invited special guests that will delight every member of the family – human and canine. All dogs are invited to attend even if they haven’t been in for a FREE interview day at camp. There will be plenty of activities they can dig into. They’ll just have to remain on their leash by their owner’s side, while pups who’ve had their interview can run with the packs in our play yards.”

“No pawty at Camp Bow Wow would be complete without a number of ear-perking attractions,” continued Ryan. “That’s why we’ve invited a number of dog-related service providers to join the fun.” Send greetings to friends and family with a woof – select imaginative greeting cards featuring historical portraits such as Madame de Poodle Pompadour and King Henry Bulldog VIII from Learn more about the benefits of massage for both humans and pups from Four-Legged Massage or discover how to pamper your pooch at home through a representative from Steam Planet/Home Pet Spa. Got a globe trotting hound? Meet with representatives from Palm Tree Travel about booking your next vacation with Rover.

Watch demonstrations by darling dogs in blue and their handlers from the South Euclid and Willoughby Hills K-9 units or catch up on Pet and Fire Safety with members of the Highland Heights Fire Department. Have a dog that likes to roam the neighborhood? Meet with a representative of Invisible Fence Brand of Northeastern Ohio to get the low-down on invisible fencing or talk with HomeAgain about microchipping identification. Does your pup sit when you tell him to sit? Representatives from Canine University of Ohio and A Canine Affair Center will be on-hand to talk about obedience training. Do doggy droppings mar the beauty of your lawn or stain your carpet? Talk with representatives of K-9 Grass, Restoration Express and Carpet Capitol about their services. Have a dog that loves to socialize? Meet the folks who tend the South Euclid Dog Park, a great place to take your pup when he/she isn’t at Camp. Want to know more about pet first aid? A representative of the American Red Cross will be demonstrating pet CPR and will have information on class schedules. Have worries about vet bills? A rep from Embrace Pet Insurance will be with us to discuss the benefits of having a pet insurance policy.

Puppy parents can tour the Camp and register to win one of our doggy door prizes – gift baskets, gift certificates and more, while their children enjoy dog-inspired face painting by Imaginastic, and meet Skipper, the Lake County Captains’ beloved mascot and much, much more! Hungry humans can satisfy their cravings with light pawty fare! While pups sample the tasty homemade treats prepared by The Paw Print Kitchen, A Dog’s Life of Chesterland and Son of a Biscuit.
