Sahara India Power Corporation Joins hands with Israeli company Safesky to Solar Power technology

June 1, 2010 - PRLog -- May, 2010, Lucknow: Sahara India Power Corporation Limited (SIPCL), a subsidiary of Sahara India Group, and Safesky software of Israel, have today joined hands and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for promoting and manufacturing advanced solar power and other technologies for Indian users. The MOU was signed between Mr. Ashok K Bhargava, CEO, Sahara India Power Corporation Ltd. and Dr Amos Bouchnik, Chairman, Safesky along with Mr Arik Klein, President and Founder, Safesky, in the presence of Mr. Subrata Roy Sahara, Managing Worker & Chairman, Sahara India Pariwar.
Safesky software with SIPCL will be setting up a demonstrative solar power plant of 5 MW at a Sahara location in India. Safesky has advanced technologies in Solar Power, Medical, Communication and Water which will be available to Sahara India Power Corporation for marketing and manufacturing in India.
Expressing his happiness, Saharasri Subrata Roy, Managing Worker & Chairman, Sahara India Pariwar, said “This new technology is definitely going to benefit our country in a very big way. In our country, particularly in rural areas with 500 million people, the power deficit is very high and I am sure this product will definitely help our country immensely. I am very happy to be associated with this development.”
Excited at the signing of the MOU, Mr Arik Klein said “I am very privileged with the opportunity to have this partnership together with Sahara based on the unique technology of Safesky. I am looking forward to build the first solar station for the benefit of the Indian Population”
Added Mr. Ashok Bhargava, CEO, Sahara India Power Corporation, “Sahara Power, in addition to conventional power generation, is very keen in exploring renewable power generation methods. With this association we intend to bring cutting edge technology in solar power generation which is far ahead of the present technology.”
