The Las Vegas based band was unfortunately disqualified after a miscommunication with the shows producers by unintentionally breaking an unannounced rule.

May 30, 2010 - PRLog -- Survivors Guilt may not be the winners of the first ever "Project Rock Warrior" Battle of the bands. However, the real debate that will rage on is whether or not they are the hardest rocking band in Las Vegas.

Joshua Paul Hawkins, the founder and high energy front man of the band during their seminal anthem ,"Black Bridal Gowns", decided to take the house up a notch with his signature stage presence by jumping off the bass drum and monitors that were on stage. Although the band was unaware that this was against the rules it unfortunately cost them their shot at the second round of the competition.

When the band asked the director of the show why they were not announced along with the others he had said, "You originally made it and would have been in the second round as number 7, however you were withheld because of a technical disqualification and there is nothing I can do about it."

However, the rule was never explained clearly to the band in the beginning. Joshua Paul states, "The only rules we were told were no profanity and no cursing in the lyrics for the songs. We were told to be ourselves and bring out our personalities. I even wanted to try to jump from the stage to the bar and was told by Wasted Space management not to so I didn't. We are definitely a band about taking chances and making a name for ourselves because we do so."

Being inspired by the likes of Iggy Pop, Henry Rollins, Scott Weiland and other high energy showmen and rockers, Joshua Paul didn't think twice about the action.

"I know that this is a televised event and there are rules to uphold but I do wish the rules would have been a little more clearly stated. I suppose next time we will know what we can and can't do all in the name of Rock and Roll."

Even though there was this unfortunate circumstance at the filming of the show there were no hard feelings from the band towards "REAL Vegas Talent" or the judges of the show.

"The band would still love to take the opportunity to thank Real Vegas Talent as well as the Wounded Warriors and P.A.L. charities for giving us the opportunity to be on this show and we will definitely return on the next run and hopefully take it to the finals!", said Hawkins.

"Project Rock Warrior" will be adapted into a upcoming reality tv show to be tentatively aired on the CW network. With the first two rounds of taping were held on the weekend of the 28th and 29th, out of the 20 bands that will be showcasing their talent only five will remain to move onto the finals to be tentatively held in October of 2010.

Survivors Guilt will still be able to be seen within the first round episodes when it tentatively airs on the CW Network. Stay tuned for more details.

The show itself was the first for the newly revamped lineup of Survivors Guilt. Being together only for a week they are stoked that the results would have favored them had they not made the mistake.

"Their might not be moral victories in sports but this was definitely one for us in the world of music!", exclaimed Hawkins.

As the band begins to expand its song catalog and live performances the band is planning an EP release party for their debut release "Broken Contract Murder to be announced within the coming weeks.
