May 30, 2010 - PRLog -- On Friday, June 4, there will be magic in the air at Kauffman Stadium when the Kansas City Royals and Master Illusionist Michael Grandinetti team up to create an unforgettable evening of thrills and amazement for the 3rd annual "Kansas City Sky Show".  Featuring the mid-west's largest fireworks display produced by Melrose Pyrotechnics, one of the world's premium fireworks companies, combined with the stunning on-field grand illusions of Michael Grandinetti (whose performance credits include NBC's Worlds Most Dangerous Magic, The Bold And The Beautiful, Citizens Bank Park Stadium, and The White House), this amazing event promises to pull the estimated audience of 40,000 into a world of wonder.  The event will kick off on the field of Kauffman Stadium immediately following the 7:10pm game against the Detroit Tigers.

The show will pay tribute to the 25th Anniversary of the 1985 World Series with a complete audio-visual experience blending pyrotechnics, special effects, grand illusion, high-definition video, and a choreographed musical score.  In addition to world-class fireworks, the event will feature on-field special effects, the iconic Kauffman Stadium fountains, and CrownVision - the largest HD videoboard in baseball.  With LED ribbon boards throughout the stadium, the show will truly be a 360 degree experience.

Michael Grandinetti has many magical surprises in store for the event.  During the performance, Michael will bring a poster of a Royals Baseball Hall of Fame Player to life, cause 200 baseballs to appear from an empty equipment crate, push a girl through a solid plate glass mirror, and levitate 10ft above center field to reach the button that starts the fireworks.  Michael will also pull the entire stadium into the magic with a unique interactive effect in which he attempts to read the thoughts of every person in the audience, at the same time, to determine name of the Kansas City Royals player (from the famous 1985 World Series Championship Team) they have sealed in their minds.

Performing magic and illusions in a stadium, outdoors, while surrounded by bright lights and people in every direction certainly creates a unique challenge.  However, Michael and his team enjoy taking on such challenges.  Having studied magic for over 20 years, Michael applies his vast knowledge of illusion, engineering, and psychological principles to create his illusionary designs.  Then, working with a team of builders who have constructed larger than life effects for David Copperfield, Michael Jackson, and several Broadway shows, Michael guides his visions from abstract to concrete, bringing them to life.

At just 32 years old, Michael Grandinetti's reputation for cutting edge magic and a charismatic personality is spreading throughout the world.  Over the past 15 years, Michael has appeared on countless stages and television programs including NBC's "The World's Most Dangerous Magic", "Entertainment Tonight", "New York Today", "Fox & Friends", "The Bold and the Beautiful", "Crook & Chase", and "The Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon".  With a true passion for amazing audiences, Michael has performed at Heinz Hall with three time Oscar-winning composer Marvin Hamlisch and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Grand Central Station and The Javits Center in New York City, Navy Pier in Chicago, the MGM Grand and Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut, the Fairmont Orchid Resort in Hawaii, and on the red carpet of ESPN's ESPY Awards held at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.  Michael was also honored to be a featured performer at The White House Easter Celebration.   The Sky Show marks Michael's second stadium performance.  Last year, Michael performed an original grand illusion show at Citizens Bank Park stadium.

In addition, Michael has created and developed custom presentations for Fortune 500 companies and major corporations including Mazda, Hewlett Packard, Harley-Davidson, Grainger Industrial, and Bayer and has designed original illusions for national and international film, television, and stage productions including the "Magic & Beyond" show in Branson MO, a national commercial featuring sleight of hand for the United States Treasury, and the television series "Paolo Limiti" in Italy.

The 2010 Kansas City Sky Show promises to be an unforgettable night of fun, entertainment, and magic!
