Ronald Reagan Republican Assemblies of Florida endorses Jason Sager for Congress

May 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Brooksville, FL, May 24, 2010 – Jason Sager, candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, 5th Congressional district, was recently endorsed by the Ronald Reagan Republican Assemblies of Florida, Inc. (RRRAFL).  The Endorsing Convention was held on May 15th in Altamonte Springs.  56 delegates from chapters throughout Florida met to review candidate applications and cast their ballots.  Candidates receiving formal endorsements were required to receive 60% of the votes.
Convention Chair, Virginia Bomford, stated, “While the large number of high-quality candidates in several races prevented any one candidate from garnering the required 60% of the vote cast in their race to earn our endorsement, we are pleased that so many candidates were able to attend and speak to our members.”
When asked about receiving the endorsement, candidate Sager quoted President Ronald Reagan, “Republican assemblies are the conscience of the Republican Party.”  Sager continued, “I am truly honored and humbled to be endorsed by the Assembly of Reagan.”
Republican assemblies throughout  the country have a long history of working to promote conservative principles within the party.  Members actively seek out candidates who share their core values.  Our mission is to not only endorse those candidates but to support and elect them to office.  RRRAFL President Jim Bomford stated, “I believe Jason Sager shares our values and will be the best choice to truly represent the people of District 5.”
