May 27, 2010 - PRLog -- PR Log (Press Release) – May 27, 2010 – Dr. Binyamin Rothstein, a Baltimore healer and Medical Doctor,  lost his license five years ago, but now can apply to be reinstated. Dr. Rothstein was forbidden to practice medicine for 5 years starting from the spring of 2005, after the Medical State Board of Physicians concluded he was endangering patients because he was " ignoring serious symptoms which could be treated or at least evaluated by conventional medicine, that he (was) misinterpreting the results of conventional medical tests and that this problem (had) endured for years despite the Board's attempts to help him remediate these problems."

What is unique about Dr. Rothstein's case is that both he and the medical board acknowledged the fact that not a single one of his patients was harmed by his treatments, nor did they make any complaints.

In truth, the medical board based their rulings on a long series of cases in which Dr. Rothstein followed his own clinical acumen to diagnose the presenting symptoms. Making the diagnosis, using traditional diagnostic standards, would have incurred a complex and costly series of medical tests for the conditions, which Dr. Rothstein found could in actuality be treated through holistic techniques. A typical example was the charge that Dr. Rothstein had failed to adequately examine and diagnose a two month infant who presented to his clinic with seizures. In actuality, Dr. Rothstein correctly determined that the child was seizing because of an overdose of medication from the ER. He applied techniques of osteopathic massage and within a few minutes the seizures subsided and the infant recovered completely. In every case, brought before the Board, Dr. Rothstein was correct, but the Medical Board preferred to focus on the law of averages and what they thought might happen rather than what did in fact occur.

Dr. Rothstein describes this difference of opinion as a response of vested authorities to a paradigm shift, which often makes holders of the previous paradigm uncomfortable. Dr. Rothstein noted that while the medical profession prefers to focus on describing disease and treating symptoms, He takes what many popularly call an "Aquarian approach." With each patient he seeks to find what is preventing the body from naturally healing itself. Is it poor nutrition, is it improper posture or a structural defect?  He then offers a treatment, designed to remove the obstacle to healing. His dedication to the wellness of his patients is the reason none of them complained or were ever hurt by his treatments.

Dr. Rothstein will have to retake his licensing exams and upon passing them apply for reinstatement.
