May 26, 2010 - PRLog -- In the infield of the Charlotte Motor Speedway history is made as fast driving meets slow cooking.

The experience showed that Auspit Outdoor Rotisseries are a perfect match for NASCAR fans because NASCAR offers the opportunity for friends to hang out together while enjoying the action. Having delicious meat spinning on the rotisserie nearby helps to take the party to the next level.

In the NASCAR infield, wood fires are generally not permitted, so most cooking had to be done over a bed of coals mixed with wood chunks for extra flavor.  Auspit rotisserie cooking was done both over a portable fire pit and using the Auspit FireTrough, an Auspit accessory which holds a bed of charcoal right under the spit.  The FireTrough (http://www.auspitbbq.com/accessories.html#FireTrough) packs up in the bag right with the Auspit kit, making it very portable.

At NASCAR events, the only things in a hurry are the race cars.  Everyone else is relaxing and having a good time. The setting is perfect place to kick back and fire up a rotisserie to cook “low and slow” (low heat and longer duration), which is a path to some of the best eating around.

Throughout the weekend of the NASCAR All-Star Race, Jonny Rotisserie, “Chief Kangaroo” at Auspit North America (http://www.AuspitBBQ.com), cooked up a storm.  From rotisserie Boston butt to rotisserie beef ribs to rotisserie chicken to rotisserie pork tenderloin to rotisserie beef sirloin to rotisserie chicken wings (in the Spitmate rotisserie basket). The rotisserie grilled potato salad was submitted as an entry in the BBQ Brethren Forum’s online BBQ contest:  http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=85260.

Passersby talked about how unique the Auspit is and how delicious the food looked and tasted.  “Based on our rapidly increasing circle of friends at our spot here, we seem to be doing something right,” commented Jonny Rotisserie.  “How can you beat, fast cars, slow food and good people?  We’ll be back!”
