100% Practical Nursing Graduates from Beckfield College Pass NCLEX on First Try!

May 26, 2010 - PRLog -- 100% of Beckfield College’s first Practical Nursing class passed the NCLEX-PN Licensure Examination upon first try.  The Practical Nursing program launched in January of 2009, expanding the rigorous and demanding nursing educational offerings available at the College. The NCLEX-PN is a state required board examination from the Kentucky Board of Nursing to provide licensure upon graduation from an approved nursing college.  

“I’m absolutely thrilled and proud of our graduates and welcome them into the rewarding career of nursing,” noted Mary Ann Crowell, RN, MSN and Associate Dean of Nursing at Beckfield College.  “It was a challenging experience to be the first class in a new program but these students persevered. We learned much from the statistics and results in the nursing program that helped make our practical nurse program very strong from the beginning.”

The Kentucky Board of Nursing mandates that a college maintain at least an 85% pass rate on a first try for practical nursing students.  The perfect pass rate reflects the challenging curriculum and preparedness of the practical nursing graduates from Beckfield College.  

Beckfield College is a career college accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) that has, since 1984, been evolving to meet the educational needs of its learners while meeting the demands of the community and area businesses.
