By: Blakell Europlacer

May 26, 2010 - PRLog -- There will be an exhibition environment, with a live production line where we will be building product with devices from 01005 through to fine pitch QFP and BGA devices; while in parallel there is to be a separate presentation area where industry experts will be discussing a variety of production related issues related to the NPI process and improvement of general SMT processes.

The live line will comprise the following processes:

Stencil Printing
Solder Paste Inspection (inline and batch)
Flexible Placement systems
Reflow (conventional and vapour phase)
Automatic Optical Inspection
Conformal Coating
Selective Soldering
Traceability
Manual Inspection

As well as experts making presentations, there will be ample opportunity to hold in depth discussions with experts on each stage of the process, looking into such subjects as the effect on solder volume using different solder pastes or stencil technologies, small batch manufacture techniques in the pick and place environment and design guidelines for Selective Soldering of PCBs.

After the event, we are organising to show the live England versus Slovenia World Cup match for those that have an interest, and a hog-roast for those who don't!

An invitation form may be obtained by contacting Andy Jones, UK General Sales Manager, by email andy.jones@europlacer.co.uk or on 01202 266600

We hope that you will find this day of great interest, and look forward to seeing you on 23rd June.

About Europlacer
Europlacer has been developing machines for electronics assembly since the 1970s and invented the intelligent feeder concept in the 1980s. After acquisition by Blakell Europlacer in 1991, the company moved away from split-axis to the inherently more capable X-Y architecture that underpins the company’s machines today. Europlacer’s policy has been to ensure wherever possible that technology purchased many years ago, especially feeders, remain compatible with the latest equipment. Europlacer designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of highly flexible SMT placement systems for the global electronics industry.
