MISSOURI GOVERNOR Jay Nixon proclaims Sept. 23, 2010 to be Antique Tractor Preservation Day
WEST PLAINS, Mo (May 18, 2010) – Jeremiah W. (Jay) Nixon, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI today signed a proclamation designating September 23, 2010 to be ANTIQUE TRACTOR PRESERVATION DAY in the State of Missouri.

TEXT OF PROCLAMATION:
WHEREAS, antique tractor enthusiasts restore and study the history of vintage farm machinery, with the antique tractor representing a lifelong passion for some and fond memories for others; and
WHEREAS, antique tractors are a tangible reminder of Missouri’s agricultural heritage and rich rural history; and
WHEREAS, in February 2010, Michael Hinton created TheAntiqueTractorShow.com with the goal of carrying-on the legacy of keeping the great tractors of the past, ever present, long into the future; and
NOW THEREFORE, I, Jeremiah W. (Jay) Nixon, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF MISSOURI, do hereby proclaim September 23, 2010, to be
ANTIQUE TRACTOR PRESERVATION DAY
