May 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Book Sale Pirate is a place for authors and bookstores to promote their book signing events. Founder, Scott Stepanski, started the website partly to give authors an avenue to publicize their book signings. Stepanski, a published author and magazine writer, admits to having faced the deadly silent book signing on occasion.

“There’s nothing worse than having to sit around eating your host’s cheese and crackers while you watch the minutes tick painfully by,” laughs Stepanski. “Speaking to an interested group of book buyers is infinitely better.”

Book Sale Pirate has a sense of fun in it’s design—hence the pirate theme inspired by a certain love of Gilbert & Sullivan. BookSalePirate.com strives for ease of use and a clear, uncluttered presentation. Users want to find a place to enjoy their reading hobby and not click through miles of other information to get to what they want. It is a place to come and find the things that bibliophiles love: books, bookstores and authors.

Bookstorepirate.com invites authors, independent bookstores, and non-profit book sales and fairs to list their events and information for free. For-profit events and bookstore groups can list for a small annual fee. “The website is a tool for promoting what we love throughout the US and Canada,” said Stepanski. Your new audience is only click away. Book Sale Pirate is also a green company. The company’s computers powered by 100% wind and solar power--being Earth-friendly is something that the company encourages. Pirates like the power of wind and sun.

Book Sale Pirate’s creator, Scott Stepanski, is a freelance science, nature and travel writer and published author and co-author of two books on geology and mineral collecting. His latest article is featured in the current May 2010 issue of Lapidary Journal Jewelry Artist magazine and his co-authored book, Gem Trails of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, is available from Gem Guides Book Co.
