South Florida Artist Greg Pitts video of "Taken" to be shown this week.

May 25, 2010 - PRLog -- South Florida artist Greg Pitts, rapidly becoming known for his abstract impressionism and often controversial artistic creations, will show the video that depicts the painting of "Taken."

This particular piece was inspired by the song "Nostrie Tiempo" by New Age recording artist Marcome'.  Mr Pitts said that when he first heard the music, it seemed as if his soul was transported back to a place in his ancestry..."a place where I once knew my original name and my original people.  It moved me to the point where I had to go and paint something just so I could find peace."

The artwork as well as the video can be seen this Thursday night at the GAB Gallery in the Wynwood Art District. In addition,other artwork by Greg Pitts will be on exhibit as well as a functional art furniture creation donated by the artist to help support Rescue Earth, an organization whose mission is dedicated to raising social and environmental awareness.

The hours for Thursday's Art Walk are from 5:00-8:00 pm.
