HomeESP Savings Center Members reimbursed the first $75 for repairs to major home appliances.

May 25, 2010 - PRLog -- Two things in life are certain: taxes and appliance failure.  With HomeESP Appliance Repair Protection Plan, at least the repair of your fridge or stove will be less costly.  ARPP pays members of HomeESP’s Savings Center for up to the first $75 of repairs to major appliances.  Membership information and registration is available at http://www.homeesp.com/component/comprofiler/pluginclass?plugin=cbpaidsubscriptions&do=displayplans&plans=1.

“Given failure rates for major appliances of up to 37 percent during the first four years of ownership, it’s nice to have protection in place that is economical and comes with so many other benefits.  Appliance Repair Protection Plan is part of being a HomeESP Member, which offers many money-saving and energy-saving benefits. ARPP covers up to your first $75 taking the sting out of the average $110 to $164 service call cost for a major appliance in the home,” said Laurence Sheinman, founder and chief marketing officer of HomeESP.  “Appliance Repair Protection Plan is the first of its kind: you can have your appliance fixed by any qualified technician, and HomeESP will cover up to the first $75 of the service call.”

Appliance Repair Protection Plan is available to HomeESP Savings Center members and covers the first $75 of repairs to major appliances including refrigerator, range, wall oven, cooktop, microwave (built-in), dishwasher, trash compactor (built-in), clothes washer and clothes dryer.  APRR applies to appliances which are between one and ten years old.  Complete information on ARPP is available at this link: http://www.homeesp.com/home/24/398-appliance-repair-prote....  Importantly for homeowners with a home warranty in place, ARPP can be used to cover the service trade fee or deductible which is often a feature of these policies.  HomeESP reimburses the first $50 when the consumer locates his or her own repair service and the first $75 when the service technician is referred through the HomeESP Contractor Locater, which also offers a $500 nationwide service assurance plan.

According to industry statistics, failure rates for major home appliances can be as high as 37 percent during the first four years, with costs ranging from $88 to as much as $164 on average.  With HomeESP Appliance Repair Protection Plan, members are covered for the first $75 of such repairs.

“HomeESP offers money saving, energy saving and risk reducing products and services for homeowners across the U.S.,” concluded Sheinman.  "HomeESP is a consumer advocate and resource that can save you literally thousands of dollars a year by reducing financial surprises like those from appliance failure, and the cost of living generally, with discounts from more than 300 national brands, and 250,000 online and brick-and-mortar retailers and restaurants nationwide.  More importantly, HomeESP provides a homeowner library with hundreds of money-saving tips and how-to’s that help consumers save energy, reduce maintenance costs and enhance their homes and home lives, as well as trusted contractor referrals and rebates on energy saving CFL light bulbs.  ”
