EDTS Extends Capabilities, Adds Certifications
EDTS, LLC, a full-service technology consulting firm specializing in networking, security, and managed services support solutions announced that Andy Morris and Delano Collins acquired certifications, keeping EDTS at the forefront of the IT industry.
Delano Collins, EDTS Service Manager, passed the ITIL Foundation v3 certification exam. ITIL is the most widely accepted approach to IT service management in the world. Examination components include: Service Management as a practice, Service Lifecycle, Key Principles and Models, Selected Roles and Functions, and Technology and Architecture. ITIL practices can be used to enhance the quality of IT service management within an organization.
In addition to passing this exam, Collins recently earned certifications for Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Server Administrator and MCITP Enterprise Administrator. These certifications validate proven experience in using Microsoft products and solutions. To obtain the certifications, he took a series of eight exams. Collins also holds MCSE+ Security, MCSE+ Messaging, CCA, CCNA, CCDA, CCSP, and INFOSEC certifications.
Andy Morris, EDTS Service Coordinator, recently earned the CompTIA A+ Certification. This certification is an industry standard and proves competence in areas such as installation, preventative maintenance, networking, security and troubleshooting. To obtain the certification, Morris passed two exams. CompTIA A+ Essentials measures fundamentals of computer technology, as well as the communication skills and professionalism and CompTIA A+ Practical Application is an extension of the knowledge and skills identified in CompTIA A+ Essentials with more of a hands-on focus, where troubleshooting and tools must be applied to resolve problems.
