Miller Edge Introduces D-I-Y Electric Edge

Miller Edge introduced the new CPT-223 Electric Sensing Edge kit at the International Door Association Expo. The CPT-223 allows commercial door technicians to assemble the product and allows them to upgrade customers to an electric edge sensor while on-site.

The CPT-223 product consists of flexible extrusion, end caps and glue. To assemble, the extrusion is cut to size, then end caps are inserted into the cavities and glued to provide a weather tight seal. The product is easily installed on doors with accepting bottom bar configurations or, with any Miller Edge ME-123 mounting channel.

The extrusion incorporates a new conductive polymer technology to provide the switching function. CPT-223 is available in 14 foot (4.2m) and 22 foot (6.7m) kits or, in bulk rolls of 50-foot (15.2m) lengths.
