Faster, Slicker Performance from New Gemini Issue Tracker 3.6

May 25, 2010 - PRLog -- CounterSoft has announced the launch of Gemini 3.6, the latest version of its .NET based issue tracker software project management product. The browser-based platform, links Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Visual Studio, Subversion SVN, and MSN Messenger, also supporting mobile and occasionally-connected team workers through the Gemini Desktop application for offline working with full data synchronization.

Helping software developers deliver projects on time, on spec and to budget, Gemini 3.6 features Gemini’s typical comprehensive issue and bug tracking delivered via a completely new user interface with a more appealing look and feel and intuitive new enhancements.
New and improved features which add to the system’s usability include: a slick navigation experience provided by Mega-Menus, which requires fewer clicks; ultra-fast, compact, dynamic issue filters; and revamped global, project, user, and issue dashboards for a crisper user experience.

Project overview data is delivered quickly via a Movers & Shakers function which briefly summarises information on each project. The Quick Issues option bulk creates issues specifying minimal data, while the Roadmap & Change Log summarises metrics and charts for insight into issues addressed.

The option of Nested Versions means that versions can be organized in hierarchical fashion (ideal for SCRUM Sprint organization).  In terms of on-screen appearance, the user can opt to view summary data in tabular or chart format. The SCRUM Burndown Chart gives the option of displaying data based upon Hours Logged or Issues count.
Other new features which add to usability include Inline Editing, available everywhere, meaning that users and administrators can inline edit data as they go. For Time Reporting, it is possible to roll up time data at any level and see time logged by Time Types (for example, Billable).

Adding to traceability, POP3 Mailbox Processing now tracks and auto-emails external email submitters. Drillable Charts, PDF Export and over 40 bug fixes round off the raft of improvements to Gemini.
