Fountain Square Art Festival in Evanston (IL), June 26-27, North Shore's Venerable Art Event!

More than 225 juried artists…PLUS jazz-centric music lineup, children's art tent and food.

May 27, 2010 - PRLog -- EVANSTON, IL—Fountain Square Art Festival—the North Shore's acclaimed and oldest juried fine art fair—returns for its 31st year on Saturday and Sunday, June 26-27.  

Featuring the works of more than 225 artists, the festival is held at the intersections of Sherman and Church Streets in the heart of  downtown Evanston surrounding the eponymous Fountain Square.

The festival also features a jazz-centric music lineup on its entertainment stage as well as a children's tent with hands-on art activities.

The festival takes up several blocks of downtown Evanston and showcases an eclectic mix of art including paintings, sculptures, metalwork, jewelry, glasswork, woodwork, photography, mixed media and more.

It will also feature strolling musicians and the cuisine of local restaurants.
Fountain Square artist hours are 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. both days. A gate donation of $5 benefits the Evanston Chamber of Commerce.
