Farhad Farhadi, personal finance expert at http://www.MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, said;

“As the UK’s leading discount website, we always aim to keep on top of the latest voucher code usage trends. We help millions of people every month save money on a variety of products and want even more people to realise the potential savings available. This study was commissioned by us and carried out 100% independently of our user base in a bid to investigate how the general public feel about discount voucher codes, and to be honest, the results really are reflective of the recession-hardened public.”

He continued, “Eating out was one of the luxuries people gave up throughout the Credit Crunch, as referenced by much-publicised higher takeaway orders, so it appears that although it’s back on the agenda, the public are still conscious of the cost. We’d encourage all shoppers to check for discounts before making any purchases, especially online, as they could be missing out on huge savings.”
