Homeland Security Policy Institute to Host Ambassadors Roundtable: Canada

The George Washington University Homeland Security Policy Institute will host an Ambassadors Roundtable featuring Ambassador Gary Doer, Embassy of Canada.

May 21, 2010 - PRLog -- EVENT:  In 2010, Canada is host to the Olympic games, the G-20 and the G-8. At the same time, Canadian forces are in Afghanistan and in other countries in an effort to bring stability and democracy.  Closer to home, Canadian law enforcement agencies and frontline border officers are working in close collaboration with the United States to ensure that our shared border is open for legitimate trade and travel and closed to terrorists.  Noting that a threat to the United States is a threat to Canada, Ambassador Doer will offer a Canadian perspective on emerging security challenges and the need for evergreen policy developments.

WHEN: Monday, May 24, 2010, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am

WHO: His Excellency Ambassador Gary Doer, Embassy of Canada
