Real Estate Developer Inna Sobel & Chef Toni Willard Host Harlem Garden Party

May 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Major Real Estate Developer Inna Sobel and Chef Toni Willard-Young have partnered to launch a series of Garden Parties starting on  May 22, 2010 to more than 100 elite business entrepreneurs, politicians, entertainers and supporters to discuss what will be Hamilton Heights first ever Organic Restaurant. The event will be one of several on-going efforts led by Inna Sobel and Toni Willard-Young to include the community and to raise funds for the new venture.

After providing years of exceptional catering services to politicians, University Alumni's, and celebrities for more than 20yrs, Chef Toni Willard-Young is no stranger to the restaurant business. She launched Antoinette's back in 2008 on 113th street which focused on hormone free, antibiotic foods. Though "Antoinette's" received highly respected restaurant reviews the constant construction of new developments within the area caused a conflict in a steady flow of customers resulting in Toni wanting to move "Antoinette's" to an area in which developments were already complete.

Chef Toni who currently owns and operates Chef Toni's Cooking Academy for children on the Upper Westside met Real Estate Developer Sobel through her cooking academy in which one of her children attends. Inna owns several properties in New York including landmark brownstone's within the Harlem Community.

Hamilton Heights is one of many Harlem locations with newly developed condo's, co-ops, and high rises giving an " Upper Westside" feel to Harlem living. The Garden Party will double as a focus group strategically gathering input from the community to involve them in the process, providing an establishment that becomes a home away from home. Chef Toni's goal is to bring a unique eclectic mix of food, music, art, culture, and even fashion together.  Using a healthy approach by cooking organic, the restaurant will be infused with the hipster feel of Soho, the elegance of the Upper Westside, the artistic expression of Brooklyn and the diversity from the Harlem community to create a long standing new establishment created for the people  by the people.


The Garden Party will offer networking opportunities for the community and to discuss ideas on the formation of the restaurant. The Garden Party is generously supported by Yvonne Broady Loftin, Eulis Cathy of WBGO , Inna Sobel, Chef Brian Johnson and Chef Toni‘s Cooking Academy.

As a proud mother of four Chef Toni understands the importance of good nutrition and the role it plays in the growth and development of our children. Over the course of four years Chef Toni has contributed her knowledge and expertise as a Cooking Specialist for the Westside YMCA, and as a Cooking teacher at an after school enrichment club in New York City. Toni's drive, passion, and dedication to teaching children to be passionate and knowledgeable about their food has led her to open up a cooking school in New York City where she continues to create “cook and play” adventures at her own Chef Toni's Cooking Academy.
