River Smith and hiphop Artist E&J Are Performing Together at Pilgrim Church

May 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Local poet, artist, and activist, Kate Sopko is MC for this free event. There will also be a video of the late Cuyahoga County Poet Laureate and political activist, Daniel Thompson reading a tribute poem to the late political activist Ione Biggs. An open mic for poets and other artists will follow.

While the event is free, donations will be accepted to Women Speak Out for Peace and Justice and Cleveland Peace Action.

The performers' books and albums will be on sale, with portions of the proceeds going to the two organizations.
