Dr. Guido Knüp New Director Finance at ECT

May 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Munich – ECT (European Computer Telecoms), leading vendor of complete solutions for value-added services in the voice and multimedia domain, has announced the appointment of Dr. Guido Knüp as new Director Finance. Guido Knüp heads the Finance Department and is responsible for all financial activities at ECT’s headquarter as well as the six wholly-owned sales and service subsidiaries. The central finance teams and the accountants at the subsidiaries report directly to him.

Dr. Knüp is in charge of all commercial issues within the ECT group. These include all accounting, controlling, procurement, cash management and commercial sales management. He advises the local accountants and supports the Managing Directors in the subsidiaries and ECT group management with all financial aspects of their daily business.

Prior to his position at ECT, Dr. Knüp was Head of Finance and Administration at TechnoTrend AG and Commercial Sales Manager for Home Media products at Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices GmbH.

“From a financial perspective, the challenge at ECT lies within the broad scope of responsibilities plus the realignment of processes across the ECT group,” comments Knüp on his assignment. “All of this takes place in a privately held company, which focuses on profitable, organic growth and is not only driven by investors’ demands.”

Dr. Guido Knüp, who was born in 1975, holds a PhD in Personnel & Organization from the Bundeswehr University, Munich. He studied economics at the University of Münster, the Emory University in Atlanta and the Leipzig Graduate School of Management.
