May 17, 2010 - PRLog -- United Native Radio launches May 20th at 7:00pm est. on the Tenacity Radio Network (www.tenacityradio.com). This show incorporates news, music, guests and titillating talk from your hosts Raven Duclos and Jo-Ann Belanger. Raven Duclos states, “The show and website are here for three reasons, to bring unity, to bring cultural awareness and strength and to give our people a source for news that is native oriented and timely, music that you love and guests that are phenomenal!! Our focus for guests is wide. Some will be fun, some will be serious and some will be controversial.”
Joseph FireCrow, Grammy award nominee flutist and Cat Carnes creator of Dirty Girl soaps will be on our launch show on May 20th.  Joseph fire will weave magic not only with his beautiful music, but also his words. He’ll explain “Making a flute sing”. He is one of the few Cheyenne songkeepers left and makes his own flutes as well. Deeply entrenched in his culture listen as he walks us through the process of transforming a piece of wood into a work of art, but as Joseph says, ” You can teach someone how to play the flute, but you can't teach them how to make it sing.”
Cat Carnes, an original “Dirty Girl” creates all natural soap to please the Dirty Girl or guy in all of us! She’ll talk about her start and the process of creating these unique  soaps but the real magic comes when talking to this delightful lady. Her mission goes beyond soap making, “Maybe we should have named our company "Activist Soaps" lol as my family is full of Native Activists.. All we know is we love making soap and if we can help people along the way, it makes it even better!”  Her off-the-cuff charm and her innate knowledge of her craft is something not to be missed!!
