May 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Kent Greyhound Rescue (KGR) celebrated it’s first birthday on Sunday 9th May 2010 and rehomed their 100th dog, Sky, the week previous.  A great achievement for all its trustees and volunteers who have worked hard over the past 12 months.

Owners gathered for a celebratory birthday party, where Sky was the centre of attention and shared sausages, dog biscuits and a gallop in the paddock with other rescued hounds from all over the UK.  KGR managed to raise over £500 towards helping more hounds by holding a raffle and the selling of their limited edition puppyganda apparel.

Sky came into KGR in March 2010 after just retiring from racing.  Sky is an unusual looking dog as his coat is blue with small white snowflake patterns all over it. Aged 4 he had been starved so was badly malnutritioned and was very reserved due to the nature of his training.  He now lives in Herne Bay at his forever home with his new owners Dan & Annie.
