Follow on Google News | Online course in sport psychology begins June 1Montana State offers a new online course in Sport Psychology that is open to students and working professionals.
By: Montana State University Extended University The course, HHD 552-01, is offered completely online. Students do not need to be enrolled in an MSU degree program in order to take the class. The eight-week course begins June 1 and runs through July 26. Enrollment is limited and early registration is encouraged. The course will cover basic concepts, behavioral principles, and history of sport psychology; anxiety, arousal, and intervention; Another online course for coaches and health professionals, Sport Nutrition (HHD 551-01) also runs from June 1 to July 26. The instructor for both courses is Michael Meyers, an adjunct professor in MSU's Department of Health and Human Development. Meyers is also a Fellow in the American College of Sports Medicine; past president of the Texas regional chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine; and recognized on the Sport Psychology Registry, United States Olympic Committee. He has authored over 75 scientific journal publications, and has given over 350 regional, national and international presentations.
