The Eddie Eagle GunSafe® program began in 1988 and has reached more than 21 million children, ages pre-K through third grade, in all 50 states. The program was developed through the combined efforts of qualified professionals including clinical psychologists, reading specialists, teachers, curriculum specialists, urban housing safety officials, and law enforcement personnel. The key message; if you see a gun: Stop. Don’t Touch.  Leave the Area. Tell an adult.  The program makes no value judgment about firearms, nor are any firearms used in the program.
