May 11, 2010 - PRLog -- (Tampa, FL) - Our Second Amendment right to bear arms has a forum for debate and it all takes place on a new radio program at 1 PM, Saturdays on Tampa’s News Talk AM 820 WWBA.

Noel Flasterstein, a Tampa criminal and civil attorney, said his idea for “The Gun Show” evolved after a “high stakes” court case.

“My dog had been missing for about three days then I discovered that someone shot my dog about 12 feet in front of the door to my back yard fence. Whoever did it was clearly trying to gain entry undetected into my house to cause me harm. As an attorney, I always thought I should get a gun for protection; now I know from experience that having a firearm for personal protection is a must. ”

Flasterstein’s colleague, and noted civil rights attorney, Luke Lirot, is an avid listener and firm supporter of “The Gun Show”.

After speaking to his peers and friends, Noel found that most of them owned guns. It wasn’t long before Noel owned a firearm, too.

Then, Noel got the idea for “The Gun Show.”  It was time for Noel to speak out in favor of the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution.

“As I became more involved in the gun culture, I came to realize the danger to our Second Amendment rights. Many gun owners mistakenly take these rights for granted and overlook the fact that these rights are under constant attack. Non gun owners need to be concerned about this too, because if they strip away these rights, what’s next and where will it stop?"

The Second Amendment was inspired by our founding fathers’ belief in the individual’s divine right to self defense.

To help spread the word on his new radio program, Noel turned to a friend and experienced broadcaster, Roger P. Schulman to help with the commentary. Roger is a well known news director/morning news anchor who has been on Tampa radio for nearly four decades.

“The Gun Show” inspires listeners to call in during the broadcasts to express their views in regard to gun control.

“Arthur Hayhoe, a strong proponent of gun control and the Executive Director of the Florida Coalition Against Gun Violence, was in a civil debate on the show with Bill Bunting, the Second Amendment Chairman for the Republican Party of Florida.”

The steady stream of callers for “The Gun Show” has included a deaf man who asked questions through a female interpreter, residents from as far north as Brooksville, callers as far south as Naples plus drivers in their cars visiting from Georgia and Pennsylvania.

Throughout the radio commentary and the call-ins, Noel Flasterstein has a message for listeners: “I truly believe that our Second Amendment rights are in jeopardy!  If you are a gun owner, you need to be a registered voter.”

Noel is not the only opinionated member of “The Gun Show” broadcast team. Dennis Pizza, known as “Gunboy,” handles technical questions and safety issues about gun usage from callers.

Whether the quote is original or not, “Gunboy” is willing to share his sentiments on the air when he insists that “the best gun in the world is the one you have when you really need one!”
