Toronto Studies Cheaper Crosswalks While Proposing NO Competitive Tendering Contract for Friends

Toronto with a serious fiscal problem considers allowing sweet heart deals that cost the taxpayers $1 Million $600 hundred thousand dollars. Toronto beaches are for the people NOT for exclusive business use of anyone corporation or individual.
May 11, 2010 - PRLog -- With Toronto in the midst of a fiscal crisis brought about by the continued chronic spending habits of incumbent councillors, they march on with their left leaning ideologies and attitudes of they are right and to heck with the taxpayers.

Now Incumbent councillors of the past 28 years or more are prepared to forgo, at the direct expense of the people they were elected to prudently represent, the basics of openness and transparency of public office.

It appears they are all poised to hand out another untendered and non competitive contract, which will cost the taxpayers $1 MILLION $600 HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS by extending a food, drink monopoly located on our eastern beaches.

Fiscal Crisis or not Incumbent Councillors Propose NO Tendering, Rent Reductions and Monopoly for Friends of the Family in an immoral, unethical and most likely illegal non competitive tendering process.

Toronto has a serious fiscal problem and yet considers allowing sweet heart deals that cost the taxpayers $1 Million $600 hundred thousand dollars.

The holder of this untendered contract has continually failed to pay taxes and has serious tax arrears owing to the city.

We all know that when any contract is not tendered out in a competitive bidding process as legally required someone is most likely being paid off at the direct expense of taxpayers.

The Toronto beaches and areas are for the people and NOT for the exclusive business use of anyone corporation or individual.

When it involves public funds, transparency and openness must prevail.

If incumbent councillors approve this shady deal on their nonsensical sole search approach which is fiscally irresponsible and undemocratic in this day and age, they deserve to be kicked out of office as such actions is not consistent with open and honest public service.
